Earnings this week, Nov 2–6: Apple, Palantir and AMD
19 confirmed reports: Apple and Palantir Monday, AMD Tuesday, Arm and Qualcomm Wednesday. Dates, call times, estimates, guidance and the jobs report.

Apple reports after the close on Monday, Nov 2, its first quarterly results since John Ternus became chief executive on Sep 1. Palantir reports the same evening. Advanced Micro Devices follows on Tuesday, together with Arista Networks and Supermicro, and Arm and Qualcomm report on Wednesday. Nineteen large companies have confirmed dates between Monday morning and Thursday evening, and on Friday, Nov 6, the October jobs report comes out at 8:30 am ET.
Last week the cloud giants said how much more they are spending on data centers. Alphabet's capital expenditures in the third quarter were 2.1 times their level a year earlier (our recap), and Amazon's were $77.3 billion, against $35.1 billion a year earlier (our recap). This week, several of the companies that sell them chips, servers and network gear report what that spending looked like from the other side.
All times below are US Eastern. US clocks go back an hour on Sunday, Nov 1, so every time this week is EST. Estimates are the StockFit consensus EPS, with the number of analyst estimates behind it, as of Oct 31, 2026. Other sites use other analyst pools, so their figures can differ. When do Apple, Palantir and AMD report earnings?
- Apple (AAPL): Monday, Nov 2, after the close, call at 5:00 pm. This is fiscal 2026's fourth quarter, the three months to Sep 26. StockFit consensus EPS: $1.98 (7 estimates), 7.0% above the $1.85 Apple earned a year earlier (StockFit, from Apple's 10-K). In the fiscal third quarter, revenue rose 16% to $109.4 billion (8-K). Apple announced in April that Ternus, then its head of hardware engineering, would succeed Tim Cook, who became executive chairman (Apple).
- Palantir (PLTR): Monday, Nov 2, after the close, call at 5:00 pm (Palantir). Palantir guided third-quarter revenue to $2.160 to $2.164 billion and adjusted operating income to $1.292 to $1.296 billion. The midpoint of that revenue range is 83% above the $1.181 billion of a year earlier (our calculation, year-ago figure from StockFit). Second-quarter revenue was $1.935 billion, up 93% (8-K).
- Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): Tuesday, Nov 3, after the close, call at 5:00 pm (AMD). AMD guided revenue to "approximately $13 billion, plus or minus $300 million", which it says is about 41% more than a year earlier, with a non-GAAP gross margin of about 56%. StockFit consensus EPS: $1.68 (13 estimates). A year earlier AMD had revenue of $9.25 billion and GAAP EPS of $0.75 (StockFit, from AMD's 10-Q).
Earnings calendar for Nov 2–6, by day
"Before open" means before the 9:30 am opening bell, and "after close" means after the 4:00 pm close. Call times come from each company's own announcement. "Est. Friday, Nov 6
No large company in this list has confirmed a Friday report. The day belongs to the October jobs report, at 8:30 am (see below).
A few rows need more than a table cell:
- Booking's estimate is after its stock split. Booking split its shares 25-for-1 in April 2026 (StockFit, from Booking's 10-Q), so its per-share figures are a 25th of what they were before. Compare this quarter with year-ago EPS only on the split-adjusted basis.
- Supermicro has already given preliminary numbers. On Oct 20 it said first-quarter revenue would be about $18.5 to $19.5 billion, against its own guidance of $14.5 to $15.5 billion, and gross margin about 12.0% to 12.5%, against 10.4% to 10.8%. The company said the figures are unaudited and "subject to revision" (8-K). Tuesday's report is where they become final.
- Qualcomm gives two ranges. Its outlook for the fiscal fourth quarter is GAAP EPS of $1.22 to $1.42 and non-GAAP EPS of $2.05 to $2.25, on revenue of $9.7 to $10.5 billion (8-K). Headlines usually compare the non-GAAP figure.
- Fiscal quarters differ. For Apple and Qualcomm this is the fourth quarter of their fiscal year, for Supermicro the first and for Arm the second.
What do the AI suppliers say after last week's capex?
This is the thread that ties the week together. Four of the hyperscalers have now reported their September quarter, and all four spent more on property and equipment than a year earlier, each on its own definition. Microsoft put its capex at $45.2 billion including finance leases, against $34.9 billion a year earlier (our recap). Meta reported capital expenditures of $34.91 billion on its own definition, which adds finance-lease payments (last week's preview). Alphabet spent $51.4 billion, against $24.0 billion a year earlier, and Amazon $77.3 billion, against $35.1 billion (both from the companies' third-quarter releases, in our recaps). Our Big Tech capex comparison puts all four on one definition.
Here is where the suppliers that report this week stood going in, in their own filings:
- AMD had second-quarter revenue of $11.5 billion. Its third-quarter outlook of about $13 billion would be a 13% rise from the second quarter, by AMD's own count (8-K).
- Arista Networks (ANET) guided third-quarter revenue to about $3.3 billion, with a non-GAAP operating margin of 48% to 49% (8-K). Arista sells the switches that connect servers inside data centers.
- Supermicro (SMCI), which builds servers, put the midpoint of its preliminary revenue range, $19.0 billion, about 27% above the $15.0 billion midpoint of its own guidance (our calculation). It said the difference was "primarily due to increased demand for AI platforms" (8-K).
- Arm (ARM) licenses chip designs and collects royalties on chips built with them. Its fiscal first-quarter revenue was $1.289 billion, and it guided the second quarter to $1.38 billion, plus or minus $50 million (6-K).
- Qualcomm (QCOM) is the counterpoint: most of its revenue still comes from phone chips. Fiscal third-quarter revenue was $9.95 billion, down from $10.37 billion a year earlier, with GAAP EPS of $1.87 and non-GAAP EPS of $2.21 (8-K).
Two cloud software companies report in the same stretch. Datadog (DDOG) guided revenue to $1.135 to $1.145 billion (8-K), and Cloudflare (NET) to $736.0 to $737.0 million (8-K).
Why last year's EPS is a poor guide for Uber
Check which EPS a headline compares. A year ago, Uber (UBER) reported GAAP diluted EPS of $3.11 for the third quarter. That figure included "a $4.9 billion benefit from a tax valuation release" and a $1.5 billion pre-tax net benefit from revaluing its equity investments (Q3 2025 8-K). Neither is part of running the business. For this quarter Uber guided non-GAAP EPS to $0.84 to $0.88, which it says is growth of 28% to 35%, and gross bookings to $58.25 to $60.25 billion (Q2 8-K). Uber's GAAP EPS swings widely from quarter to quarter: $0.13 in the first quarter of 2026 and $1.17 in the second (StockFit). A GAAP figure far below $3.11 would say little about the quarter on its own.
The same care applies to AMD. Its second-quarter GAAP EPS of $1.38 was lower than its non-GAAP EPS of $1.66, and the non-GAAP figure leaves out a $483 million net gain on long-term investments (8-K). At Palantir the two measures matched in the second quarter, at $0.41. Our guide on how to read an earnings report explains GAAP and adjusted earnings.
Jobs report, Election Day and the rest of the week's calendar
- Sun, Nov 1: US daylight saving time ends. From Monday the 4:00 pm close is at 21:00 UTC.
- Mon, Nov 2, 10:00 am: the ISM manufacturing PMI for October (ISM), a survey of purchasing managers that read 54.5% in September (above 50 means expansion), and construction spending for September (Census Bureau). At 3:00 pm the Treasury publishes its borrowing estimates for the quarter (Treasury).
- Tue, Nov 3: Election Day (midterm elections). The NYSE and Nasdaq are open regular hours (NYSE), and so is the bond market. At 10:00 am: job openings (JOLTS) for September from the BLS, and factory orders for September from the Census Bureau.
- Wed, Nov 4, 8:15 am: the ADP National Employment Report for October, a private-payroll estimate that comes two days before the official jobs report; ADP counted 90,000 private jobs added in September (ADP). At 8:30 am: the September trade balance (Census Bureau). At 10:00 am: the ISM services PMI for October, which read 54.9% in September (ISM). The Treasury announces the sizes of its quarterly refunding auctions the same morning.
- Thu, Nov 5, 8:30 am: productivity and costs, third-quarter preliminary estimate (BLS).
- Fri, Nov 6, 8:30 am: the jobs report for October (BLS schedule).
The jobs report lands after a slow run of hiring. In September, payrolls rose by 29,000 and the unemployment rate was 4.2%. Payroll growth had averaged 45,000 a month over the previous 12 months, and July and August were revised down by a combined 60,000 (BLS).
It also comes nine days after the Federal Reserve held its target range at 3¾ to 4% on Oct 28. The vote was 10–2: Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack preferred a quarter-point increase (Fed statement). Data released on Oct 29 showed inflation still well above the Fed's 2% goal: the PCE price index rose 3.6% in the year to September, or 3.1% excluding food and energy (BEA), while the economy grew at a 3.4% annual rate in the third quarter, up from 2.2% in the second (BEA). Our guide to CPI and PCE explains the two inflation measures.
